Tori Woodrow: Violin

Tori Woodrow has performed extensively with many arts organizations, including the Austin Symphony Orchestra, the Durham Symphony Orchestra, the Carolina Ballet, and the Boulder Chamber Orchestra. She has also worked as a recording artist, playing on the movie soundtrack of Spy Kids 2, and making a nationally broadcast commercial with Robert Goulet. Tori earned her Master's Degree in Violin Performance from the University of Texas at Austin. During that time, she served as Concertmaster for the UT Symphony Orchestra, the UT Opera Orchestra, and the Austrian American Mozart Academy.

Tori's solo and chamber music experience includes studies with Michael Selman, Vincent Frittelli, and Sachiko Mori. Tori also studied with David Russell at the prestigious Encore School for Strings, and played under conductor Richard Giangiulio for six years. Tori has toured Europe three times, performing in France, England, and Switzerland with some of the world's most respected musicians. Tori earned her B.A. degree on a full academic Nation Merit Scholarship, and graduated With Highest Honors as a member of Phi Beta Kappa.

In addition to performing, Tori enjoys an active career as a music educator. She currently teaches a studio of 35 young violinists at her home in Centennial, Colorado. She has held faculty positions with Boulder Suzuki Strings in Boulder, Colorado, St. Stephen's Episcopal School in Austin, Texas, and the Cary School of Music in Cary, North Carolina.
